Change

Christ calls sinners to change. It’s in the Bible, John 8:10-11, NKJV. " When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.”
And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

Can I change myself without God's help? It's in the Bible, Jeremiah 13:23, NKJV. " Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots? Then may you also do good who are accustomed to do evil."

God offers to change our filthy garments, so He can clothe us with His robes. It's in the Bible, Zechariah 3:3-4, NKJV. "Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel. Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, 'Take away the filthy garments from him.' And to him He said, 'See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.'

How will God change me? It's in the Bible, Ezekiel 36:26, NKJV.  "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh."

Changing who we are takes renewing our mind and how we think. It's in the Bible, Romans 12:2, NKJV. "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

God’s changes transform the life completely. It’s in the Bible, 2 Corinthians 5:17, NKJV. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."

No matter what you may be, Jesus can change you. It's in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, NKJV. "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God."

Inward changes should lead to outward changes. It’s in the Bible, 1 John 2:6, TLB. “Anyone who says he is a Christian should live as Christ did.”

As we keep our eyes on Jesus and His character, our character changes to reflect His glory. It's in the Bible, 2 Corinthians 3:18, NKJV. "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."

Jesus will change us outwardly when He comes again. It's in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, NKJV.  "Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

Does God ever change? No. It's in the Bible, Malachi 3:6, NKJV. "For I am the LORD, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob."

One day, this earth will be changed, but God will still be the same. It's in the Bible, Psalm 102:25-26, NKJV. "Of old You laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands.  They will perish, but You will endure; Yes, they will all grow old like a garment; like a cloak You will change them, and they will be changed. But You are the same, and Your years will have no end."
