Inspiration

What does inspiration mean when applied to the Bible? It's in the Bible, II Timothy 3:16, TLB. "The whole Bible was given to us by inspiration from God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives; it straightens us out and helps us do what is right."

Inspiration means that God is the ultimate source of the Bible. It's in the Bible, II Peter 1:20-21, NIV. "Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."
